China’s home appliance sector sees output growth in Jan.-Feb.

Abstract : China's home appliance sector posted a rising output in the first two months of the year, data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows.

BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) — China’s home appliance sector posted a rising output in the first two months of the year, data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows.

In the January-February period, refrigerators and washing machines saw respective outputs of approximately 12.1 million and 13.1 million, surging 83 percent and 68.2 percent year on year.

Air conditioner makers also saw their output soar 70.8 percent year on year to about 29.4 million during the period, the ministry said.

In 2020, the country’s outputs of refrigerators and washing machines hit 90.2 million and 80.4 million, respectively, up 8.4 percent and 3.9 percent from 2019, while the air conditioner output fell 8.3 percent year on year to 210.6 million. Enditem

Abstract : China's foreign exchange regulator on Wednesday night expanded quotas under an outbound investment scheme to meet the growing demand of domestic investors. BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) — China’s foreign exchange regulator on Wednesday night expanded quotas under an outbound investment scheme to meet the growing demand of domestic investors. A total of 10.3 billion U.S. dollars in quotas was granted to 17 institutions under the Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor (QDII) program, a scheme for outbound investment , according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).
